The Hitcher

The movie begins with Jim (Zachary Knighton) picking up his girlfriend Grace (Sophia Bush) at college on the first day of spring break to visit her friends in New Mexico. Jim spends a lot of time staring at Grace while he’s driving, which is why he nearly hits a man standing in the road next to a broken down car and nearly wrecks trying to avoid him. Jim wants to take the guy, John Ryder (Sean Bean), to the nearest gas station, but Grace refuses. When they get to the gas station, John pulls up after getting a ride from a trucker. He asks Jim if they’ll take him to a hotel up the road. Jim reluctantly agrees, and almost instantly regrets it. John breaks Jim’s cell phone and terrorizes both of them before Jim thinks fast and disorients the man long enough to boot him out of the car. From that point on, John systematically terrorizes Jim and Grace, killing other families on the road and setting the couple up for the fall.

There is very little here that appears to have been given much thought. The extent of Bush’s character development is that she makes a certain face when she has to pee. Grace and Jim set new lows for horror movie smarts (or, more accurately, a lack thereof), continuing to run and looking guiltier by the minute when a simple examination of the evidence would exonerate them in seconds. (Even the dumbest cop would know a rifle bullet from a handgun bullet, especially if the handgun had never been fired). The police are just as incompetent: a fleet of squad cars, and a helicopter, are victims of the most preposterous ambush in movie history. And God help Bean, who has to strive to be even one-dimensional. His hitcher has no time for charm and doesn’t even attempt to emotionally disarm his prey. He just drives on with a strange, Zen-like menace that is neither scary nor interesting.

The best thing that can be said about “The Hitcher” is that it is mercifully short, 83 mins. And yet, I still looked at my watch at the 65-min mark. The movie was over almost as soon as it began, and I was still impatient for it to end. Think of all the other things you can do in 83 minutes besides going to see “The Hitcher.”

On the first day of Kalaignar TV, kalaignar said,"My Television will reflect the tamil culture and heritage".

I also observed that the program names were in "Tamil" only. They tried their best to name the events in tamil.

The B-Day

The day when i born into this world. I turned 21 today. I got birth day wish from my friend Kudi wished at 00.05. Then with wishes from many of my friends i entered my classroom. One of our mams asked about our friends. But they gone to attend the symposium at the Valliammai Engineering College. As usual she started shouted. I distributed the chocolates to all my friends. My friends gathered at dhadi's room in the evening after finishing the symposim. Arun, Satti,Rajesh and Sambu came. Then started the cake cutting ceremony. After the smashing we all started leaving. My birthday celebrated in a most decent way.....

Raghav -The Terror Man

Today Cibe was explaining about some scenes of hollywood actresses which he liked very much in the class. After sometime Arul and Mama too joined. Arul pointed out the mistakes that cibe made. Myself,Bala and siddharth were listing the actresses names that we know....
Suddenly our Chairman, Raghavanantham too joined.... Bala warned us by saying,"Machi...this fellow will inform everything to girls......be carefull". But cibe continued the same thing.....


After sometime all the girls turned at Cibe and started kalasifing him by calling "Soooo"...Within that 1 minute gap Raghav, the terror man informed this matter to all the girls.....Cibe as usual got tensed....
